Our Mission
The College of Law at Salahaddin University-Erbil is committed to providing high-quality education and research in fundamental and law sciences. Our mission is to equip students with comprehensive law knowledge, critical thinking skills, and practical expertise to address real-world challenges. Through innovative teaching, research excellence, and collaboration with industries and academic institutions, we aim to contribute to the law development of the Kurdistan Region and beyond.
Our History
In 1985-1986 the college was initially established as a result of the ministry decision and was consisted of one department which was the department of law. Moreover the college was first made of four lecturers including the dean and the assistant of the dean as below: Dr. abdulrahman rahim Abdulla: the dean of the college; zhar abdulkarem abdulwahab; the assistant of the dean; jabber sabre Taha; and saeid jabaar Hassan..*The evening section: The evening section was established first in 1992-1993 under the name of the college of rights. later and as a result of decision of the higher education board no:9 in 1994 joined the university of Salahaddin.* Higher education: The two department of the college in addition of bachelor’s degree were made accessible number of master and doctorate degree. The department of law: Master’s degree in the law department was recognized in 1993-1994 and in 1999-2000 doctorate was opened. Today, the College of Law is dedicated to delivering high-quality education and advancing scientific research. Its graduates contribute to various sectors, playing a crucial role in the development of the Kurdistan Region.
